Join Turn To Us to celebrate life after cancer on National Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 3rd with an Ice Cream Social.

You are a SURVIVOR the moment you are diagnosed!

Meet us at the NEW Lehighton Outdoor Center on the bypass across from Dominos in Lehighton from 2:30 to 4:30pm.

Read more about the day from the National Cancer Survivors Day website:
Welcome! On Sunday, June 3, 2018, thousands of people around the world will gather to celebrate life after cancer. National Cancer Survivors Day® is the day each year that we pause to honor those who are living with a history of cancer for their strength and courage. It is also a day to acknowledge the contributions of their families, friends, and healthcare providers, as well as those engaged in cancer research.

For millions of people living with cancer, National Cancer Survivors Day® is a treasured Celebration of Life observed annually on the first Sunday in June*. As an NCSD event coordinator, you have the honor of bringing this worldwide celebration to your community.

Who is a cancer survivor? Anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life – is a cancer survivor, as defined by the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation.

Please reserve your free ticket so we know how much ice cream and toppings to have available. LOC's snack bar and gift shop will be open.

For questions or more information, call Alicia at 570-732-4220.

YOU can help this holiday season!
Turn To Us needs YOUR help! Every year, we host a Christmas party for our clients and their families. We are currently up to over 400 people when you add in our client's immediate family members. The evening is special as we make ornaments, have a delicious buffet meal, and Santa visits! Santa can't pack his sled with all the toys we need so we are asking YOU for donations of toys (all ages), books, blankets, and games. We could also use tape and wrapping paper so our elves can wrap the gifts.

Turn To Us is taking ROW RUN RIDE outside with Pocono Biking and Pocono Whitewater!

You will check-in at the Mauch Chunk Lake main boat launch parking lot at 8:30am. After checking in, your day will start with a run/walk down the wooded path along the lake to the dam. There, Pocono Biking will fit you for a bike and provide a bike helmet. Enjoy a ride down the Switchback Trail until you reach Pocono Biking in downtown Jim Thorpe. Return the bike, then head down to the river for your rafting briefing for the 8-mile whitewater rafting adventure! An all-you-can eat buffet will be served midway. Buses will shuttle back to Mauch Chunk Lake.

RATE: $45 per person - open to anyone ages 8 and up.

INCLUDES: Water, snacks, bike rental, helmet, life jacket, 8-mile rafting trip, all-you-can eat lunch (hot dogs, potato salad, chips, drink)

RESERVATIONS: Reservations MUST BE made directly through Pocono Whitewater at 1-800-WHITEWATER(800-944-8392) with the RESERVATION NUMBER: 266240. Reservation is under Alicia Kline, Turn To Us.

This is not a race as the group will raft together.
